Yes, you heard right!

I had the sudden urge to do something fun. Something that did not involve Thomas Jefferson, or fractions, or Freud, and before I knew it my Photoshop was open.

This is actually a Harry Potter puff, which is the first I've done. I've always shied away from them because I didn't want to step on anyone's toes, and the fact that there are so many other makers doing HP I didn't want duplicate scenes. I really didn't care this time though, because the idea wouldn't go away and I have to say I'm pleased with the outcome. Add to the fact I have HP on the brain since July is every so slowly approaching, and it was a near obvious choice.

I actually just started another one but don't have the inspiration to finish it tonight, so here's hoping another update in the very near future!

Feel free to use in icons, layouts, banners, etc like with all the puffs as long as you credit fandom_puffs.

Blatant self-promotion time
In my last post I advertised a new community my friends and I have undertaken, and after some craziness you may have found it was deleted! Well, it's back, and with July quickly approaching now's the time to join the fun before the rush that all HP comms are going to be getting once people decide they want to google "harry potter" out the wazoo. I see it as being a lot of fun and therefore humbly extend the invitation to you all.

Recommendations
I feel it my civic duty to recommend a book series to you all. I know there are a handful of Laurell K. Hamilton fans here and if you, like me, find her boring, plotless, bad!smut filled books as of recently lacking that old spark, I highly suggest the Blood Ties series by Jennifer Armintrout (no, not the same thing as the Lifetime show).

Really, really lame actually.

But I'm going to have to put the Puffs on hiatus. Still no net (I'm doing this from the library), and while I am getting it later this month, I'm also starting college, getting more hours at work, and in between then I kind of would like to sleep and watch House.

This isn't saying that I'm not going to make anymore ever - I plan on it, but I don't like the thought of making you guys wait for some inevitable update, so from now on, when I do find the time - and get the desire - to whip something up, it'll be a pleasant suprise.

I really appreciate everyone who has friended the comm thus far (and yes, it's okay to do so. I see lots of people asking permission and that just perplexes me), have used the puffs in icons or layouts, or just spread the word generally. It means a lot to me, and they're still so much fun to me; I know I'll be making more in the future, but putting the comm on hiatus kind of takes some of the pressure off.

Please, feel free to keep using the puffs! Just because I don't plan on updating 'regularly' doesn't mean the comm is dead. Feel free to also keep commenting, or submitting ideas.

I have a new 'general' layout to put up once I get my net in a week and some change, and that will stay up for a bit. I'm actually thinking of doing something else than what I have, so if you have any ideas for the next layout, send em my way!

I'm so sorry guys. I was AWOL last month for Nano (which I didn't do too bad on - 20,000 words), and then for the past two weeks my internet has been gone. For some reason it's working tonight, but never fear! On Wednesday we're having highspeed somethingorother installed, so I'll be back.

I've been working a lot lately, so I haven't had much time on the computer anyway, so combined with that and the fact that not having the internet depressed me (LOL) and I purposefully avoided my laptop, I've lagged behind on not only the 'Puffs, but blogging, writing and my email count is pretty ridiculous.

I promise to have a Holiday update very soon!

After much consideration, I've decided to have a go at NaNoWriMo (national novel writing month) ... and force a few friends to join me. I really want to try and make it this year, so since I've yet to start college (not until this Jan.), I'm making getting to work on time and finishing a novel my priorities. lol

Therefore, since most of my free time will now be eaten up by writing, plotting, or bitching about not being able to do either (oh joy), Puffs are going to be on a temporary hold. This isn't saying that I won't update at all this month - but, I just want to leave this as a note incase it doesn't happen for whatever reason and you all start thinking I've died!

Requests and Commissions will remain open. Speaking of commissions, for the winter season (Nov-Jan) I've lowered the price of commissions after a friend suggested it as a 'community Christmas present'. Tis the season. Fa la la la la and all that.

leoin - First, my icon journal which I don't update quite as often as I should but ... eh, that's the way it goes. It used to be my personal journal, and when I'm too lazy to log out, I use it to reply to comments here (fyi, in case you noticed it looked familiar)

mspaint_lolz - I recently discovered this and it really is brilliant. It's definately a treat for House and Lost fans ... if you have a very odd sense of humor LOL Check it out.

Okay, I didn't think I'd ever have this problem but after looking at my inbox, seems it's time for this little note.

My posts are not your own private discussion forum. I don't care if you talk about the puffs, or even a little bit regarding what they are about - for example, "I like this one but _____ is my favorite" or "He was a good character but I think..." ... That's cool. In fact, I enjoy reading things like that.

I even don't mind if you comment about someone's icon being nifty or asking where it came from.

However, "What are you doing?" and "How are you" and things that aren't relevant to puffs, the community, or fandoms contained in the posts is not allowed. I'll delete them next time, I won't be nice about it, and if it comes down to it, find a way to ban the IP address.

Sorry to those whose flist I clogged with this post and the two new Commission/Request post. I promise not to do it too often!

Anyway, yes, new layout! I was planning on Corpse Bride, but my friends and have recently been insanely excited about Nightmare being re-released in 3D next Friday that I simply had to do it. Obviously, they are of Jack Skellington, and while it didn't come out exactly how I envisioned it in my head, I'm very very pleased with it.

I'm in the process up updating the Puff Directory, as well as the userinfo, and as you can see the posts that were getting cluttered now have a bit more commenting room.

Edit - Yes, the Jack Puffs are available for icons and etc. I was silly and forgot to save the blanks, so you'll have to pull them from the header image if you like. However, please do not simply take out out the wording and put it on your own journal as your layout!

While you can suggest a puff in the comments of any post, you have a greater chance of your Puff getting made if you request here – I can keep track of all the requests easier, and when I hit a little creative block, there's a list of options waiting for me.

Update! And only two days late this time. See? I'm getting better.

Riiight. New layout up with the next batch. I decided to postpone it a week or two since its a 'Halloween-y' one.

You'll notice that I'm hosting the files now at my personal domain. That, however, does not mean that it's okay for you to hotlink anything.

As always, you are welcome to use the scenes and puffs in layouts and icons but! do not edit them (changing colors, making them into different characters, adding accessories) in any way. Making your own backgrounds for the blanks are okay - especially in layout purposes -, and I'd love to see any icons you make! But please credit fandom_puffs somewhere!

I live! The move went well and we are all pretty much settled. Thanks to everyone who left well wishes and requests! I'm not starting college until Jan, so even if I do start work next week I'll have plenty of time to make Puffs.

In fact expect 2-3 (maybe more? Depends. I have a lot of fic I need to get caught up on writing wise) either this Friday or Saturday.

So, for the next three days I shall be packing, and the big move to the new apartment is on Saturday. I will have internet, which I was unsure about until just today, so I will be back - and soon. This is just a note so that if you don't see an update for two weeks or so - I haven't dropped off the face of the planet! Just getting situated and, most probably, sorting out a new job.

Well, I had planned on drawing a winner from the raffle contest yesterday, but friends came and kidnapped me for my 18th birthday (huzzah! for being legal?), so that didn't happen.

I do plan on choosing a winner today and notifying them, and hopefully starting their puffs tomorrow.

Also, another Puff from the "Upcoming" list I posted two or three down is slated to be up on Friday.

The Raffle Contest will be closing Monday morning. Now, I'm not going to deal with all that time zone stuff, seeing as how I won't be pulling a winner until Tuesday. So, if you go to bed Sunday night - it'll be closed when you wake up, let's put it that way.

Tickets are just a dollar, you can buy as many as you like, and the winner(s) get three puffs of their choosing to be made with up to three backgrounds.

Alrighty - no, not another update.

This is just to let you all know some upcoming er...things. I'm going to be updating with a new layout (different style and everything to boot!) as well as the following Puffs (although I'm not sure if all at the same time, or small updates like I have been doing lately).

- POTC2 : Norrington and Will (Will for my friend, Norrie because getting dirty = getting sexy apparently)
- Batman
- Jay and Silent Bob ("Inter-species erotica!" ...heh)
- Corpse Bride (or Beetlejuice ... depends on what kind of Burton-esque mood I am in)
- LoTR (something with Gondor - again, for a friend)


That's not to say there won't be others along the way and in between, but those are the definite ones. I'll also have the tutorial up.

Another update. And so soon! Only one this time though. I figure you all would appreciate more frequent updates, even if they are only one or two puffs at time.

I don't know why I had the urge to puff what I did, but the thought occured to me - along with the one I am currently working on - and I thought it'd be a lot of fun. He's one of my favorites and I'm really happy with him. Not the background so much though lol
